Sonja Gonzalez is the Director of Operations at our West Des Moines office. Sonja oversees all daily operations of the life insurance department, annuity department and securities department.

Sonja has been with Central Financial Group since 1991 and has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.

She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and is also a member of the West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce.

Sonja and her husband, Jesse, reside in Clive, Iowa and have one daughter, Tanya. Sonja’s outside interests include family, golf, gardening, boating, running and volunteering at the John Stoddard Cancer Center. Sonja is a dedicated advocate for both Breast Cancer and Colon Cancer Awareness. She devotes much of her free time and energy supporting events which focus on finding a cure for those diseases. Sonja and her husband are also “serious football fans” and are season ticket holders for the Kansas City Chiefs.
